Good News Celebrations this Advent, Christmas time and a Happy New Year!
Dear Friends,
The Advent season has already begun on the 30th November, the fourth Sunday before Christmas Day. Advent is such a devotional time for families across the world. Advent is a chance to discuss the stories of Christmas, to starting thinking about what the scripture of Jesus’ birth really tells us about God and his love for us, the world over. It is a time of happy celebration in experiencing once more the meaning of Jesus’ birth and the events that happened to those around him.
Huddersfield Churches, Moldgreen and Waverley URC are offering worship, this year, exploring the theme of ‘Place and Spaces of Christmas’
We will be finding out where we find hope in the home of Elizabeth and Mary, Peace in the dreams of Joseph, Joy in the fields and Streets just outside Bethlehem, the love at the door of the Innkeeper and the birth of Jesus on Christmas Day in a Stable.
We welcome you in at all the events over the season and wish you a very merry Christmas.

Christmas Tree Lights Switch On.
On Saturday 6th December at Moldgreen URC we’ll be turning on the Christmas lights on the new little tree. The switch on will be at 5.00pm, with refreshments and activities from 4 o’clock. Anyone is welcome to come along and join in the fun. Our new tree may be little but we hope over the years to come it will grow big and will light up Moldgreen for many Christmases to come.
Advent Refresh And Renew.
Advent Refresh and Renew Sessions on Zoom – It will be following the same theme of ‘Place and Spaces of Christmas’.

We shall read the Christmas Story together and look at the markers along the way. The call to register, journey on the road to Bethlehem, the innkeeper’s stable, God from heaven to earth and the Holy family’s displacement to Egypt. We welcome you to share in the fun, learning and reflection of the season with good friends and family.
